Informations taken this fourteenth
day of December 1778 at the Parish of
St. John the Evangelist within the Liberty
of Westmr . in the County of Middlesex upon
an Inquisition touching the death of
Francis Life< no role > lying dead in the said
Parish Liberty and County.

Hannah< no role > the Wife of James Grant< no role > Lodger
at Mr. Life's Howkend to Frances Life the Deced
in Mill Bank Street in the Parish of St. John
the Evangelist Westmr. on her Oath saith
That on Saturday Night last (Decr. 12th.)
about Ten o'Clock Dept. came home and
on Mr. Life's opening the Street Door he told
Dept. that fins Wife was very bad, upon
which Dept, went to Deced who was in Bad
in the Back Parlour, Reaching violently
that on Dept. asking how she did, she
answer did shall be better presently
but Dept. suspecting that Deced had taken
some thing desired that Mr. Alexander
the Apothecary might be fetched which
was done and Mr. Alexander soon came
and after asking the Deced what she had
taken she told him that she had been
rash and had taken three Pennyworth
of Memory That the Deced continued, to Reach violently & in
great Agony, and until about One o'Clock
the next Morning when she deced Says that the Deced
told Dept. on Saturday Morning last, that
