Informations taken this Twenty
sixth day of June 1778 at the Parish
of St. George Han [..] Square within the
Liberty of Westmr. in the County of Midsex
upon an Inquisition touching the death
of Margaret Carrick< no role > lying dead in
the said Parish Liberty and County.

Elizabeth< no role > the Wife of Richard Groom< no role > of Cole brook
in the County of Bucks Haberdasher on her Oath
saith That on Wednesday Morning last (June 24th.)
She this Dept. and Margaret Carrick the Deced (who
dealt in Books) went in a Cart with their Goods
from Dulwich between two and there o' Clock in the
Morning in order to go to Ealing Fair in
Middlesex to Sell their Goods, Says that George
Duch
< no role > came with them and drove the Horse in
the Cart so far as Shepherds Bush in the Road
to Acton, says that the Deced there said that
she had drove many times and could drive
That the Man went down in order to return
home and that the Deced sat in the front of
[..] Cart and took the Rains, Says that the
Deced Whipped the House, pulled one of the
Rains and that the Horse turned on one side
of the Road, that the Wheels got into a Hollow place
and that the Deced fell down out of the Cart upon
the Ground (as Dept believes) and that the off Wheel
of the Cart Grazed the Deced's Fore head and took
off the Skin, Says that the Deced Bled was notable
to move herself, and spoke but little, and Deced
was carried in a Cart to St. George's Hospital in the
Parish of St. George Hanr Square, where she died
in a few Minutes, Says that the Deced was well
before She fell out of the Cart, that the fall
