Informations taken this Fourth day of
May 1778 at the Parish of St. George Hanover
Square within the Liberty of Westmr. in the
County of Middlesex upon an Inquisition
touching the Death of John White< no role > lying doad
in the said Parish Liberty and County.

John White< no role > Fathers of the Deced a Mason in his
Oath saith That on Saturday last May 2 between 12. & One o'Clock Dept was
at Work at the Hony of Mr. William Hemming< no role > at Knightbridge
and standing upon a Seaffold on the outside of the
said New Building at the Knight of about forty fe [..]
says that the Deced an Infant of the Age of Seven
Years & upwards, was with Dept.was with Dept
and either in the Gutter or upon the Garret Floor
on the inside,whothe Boards not being lord
Says that he heard something fall, and called
the Deced who did not Answer, and Mr. Heming
immediately sa [..] that he feared the Deced had
fallen down, Says that he went down as fast
as he could and met Mr. Hemings bringing us
the Deced's in his Arms which bled very much
from a Fracture on the back part of his Head
Says that the Deced was not sensible and never
spoke afterwards, Says that he assisted to carry
the Deced to St. George's Hospital , where he
died in about four Hears. and Dept. says
that the Fracture abovementioned was the
cause of his death. which the Deced reced
by Accidentally falling down into the Kitchen
through the Joyfts. of the Floors as abovementioned
