Informations taken this Ninth day
of November 1776 at Knight bridge in Parish of St.
Margaret within the Liberty of Westmr.
in the County of Middlesex upon an
Inquisition touching the death of Edward
Atwood
< no role > an Infant lying dead in the said
Parish Liberty and County.

Thomas Atwood< no role > of Eaton Street in the Parish of
St. George Hanover Square on his Oath saith That
he was riding yesterday in the Afternoon with
his Son Edward Atwood< no role > the Deced an Infant of the
Age of five Years, upon a Seat in the fore part
of a Cart belonging to this Royal Highness the Carried
of Wales from Kew to London, the Cart being
drove by another Man, Says that the Man, was
driving the Cart carefully along, in the Read
at Kensington Gore in the Parish of St. Margt.
Westmr. That the Deced sat by this Dept. on his
left hand, and the Driver on the other side,
Says that the Deced slipped down of the Seat
to the Ground and that the Near Wheal of the
Cart instantly passed over his Head, by which
he reced a violent Fracture on the Head of which he
instantly died, and Dept. Says that his Death
was merely Accidental.
