Chairman on his Oath saith, That on Wednesday
last (Jany. 25th.) about three o'Clock in the Afternoon
Dept. was going along Hyde park
by the Bason
, When
he saw a Man on the inside of the Iron Rails
having hold of the Deced's Arm and endeavouring
to pull the Deced out of the Bason, upon which
Dept. went over the Iron Rails and assisted the
Man to pull the Deced out of the Bason
and got
him out in the Parish of St. George
Hanr. Square
Says that the Deced appeared so have been long Drowned
but Dept. observed no Marks of violence upon him
Says that he acquainted Mr. Lewis one of the Beadle
of said Parish there with.

the Deced on her Oath saith, That the Deced
has been at times ill for a Year and an half
past, and at times better, Says that onMondaySunday
the 18th. day of Decr. last the Deced was Seized with
a Fever, which continued and sometimes very
violent, and could Eat no Victuals, Says that on
Saturday Morning Decr. 24th. about nine o'Clocks,
Deced went out saying that he would take a Walk
and return soon, but Deced did not return nor
did Dept. hear of him since until last Wednesday
when she was informed that Deced was taken out
of the Bason in Hyde Park
Drowned, Says that
the Deced frequently talked to himself, and that
the Deced by the violence of the Fever, was at
times Delirious and out of his Mind
