Informations taken this Twenty fourth day
of October 1774 at the Parish of St. Martin viz
the Fields within the Liberty of Westmr. in the
County of Midsex upon an Inquisition touching
the death of Sarah Lewis< no role > the Wife of Timothy
Lewis
< no role > lying dead in the said Parish Liberty
and County.

William Norton< no role > of the Straced Surgeon on his
Oath Saith That he this day Examined the Body of
Sarah Lewis< no role > the Deced and found no Marks of
violence thereupon, and believes that the Deced
died in a natural way.

Lucy Douglas< no role > Wife of Walter Douglas< no role > of Prince
Court Hedge Lane in the Parish of St. Martin in
the Fields on her Oath saith That Sarah Lewis< no role >
the Decedthe Decedyesterday about three o'Clock
in the Afternoon looked out of her Garret Window
and desired Dept. to come to drink a Dish of
Tea with her, upon which Dept. went into Deced's
Room and found Deced and Timothy Lewis< no role > her
Husband sitting together by the Fire in a friendly
manner, Says that She left them there and went
home, Says that bout five o'Clock Dept. went
again into Deced's Room, and found the Door open
and seeing Timothy Lewis< no role > asleep upon the Bed
she called him several times and he awoke
Says that she then saw the Deced lying in a Chair,
the Back of which rested upon the feet of the Bed
Says that she called to Deced and having no Answer
she went down Stairs and called Mrs. Coleman
who came up with Dept. into Deced's Room and
found that she was dead. but not Cold, Says
that
