the Deced, Says that the Deced was dead and
believes that he Accidentally fell in to the well and was Drowned

Thos. Hodges< no role >

HesterHodgesIreland< no role > (commonly called Hodges< no role > ) on her
Oath saith, That on Friday last she drank some Beer
with Mr. Hodges and the Deced at Mr. Aggett's Door
That the Deced afterwards bought some Box of Mr.
Hodges, which was put into a Bag, and more Beer
was drank there, when the Deced and Mr. Hodges
were Intoxicated and Hodges went to Bed, & Deced
and Dept. went to the Feathers where they drank
more Liquor, and about half hour after Nine o'Clock
Deced & this Dept went out together and Deced
went towards home as Dept. thought, and Dept.
went into her House, when Mr. Hodges turned her
out and she was all night in the Necessary House
Says that in the Morning Mr. Hodges said there was
a Man in the well, and Dept. says that she did not See
the Deced from the time they come out together
from the Feathers until she saw him lying in
the well to her knowledged and Dept. believes that the Deced fell
in there by Accident and was Drowned.
