An Inquisition Indented, taken for our Sovereign Lord the
King, at the Parish of Saint James
within the Liberty of the Dean and Chapter of the Collegiate Church of St. Peter, Westminster ,
in the County of Middlesex , the Twelfth day of May in the Fourteenth Year
of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third, by the Grace of God, of Great-Britain,
France and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, and so forth, before Thomas Prickard< no role > , Gentleman,
Corner of our said Lord the King for the said City and Liberty, on View of the Body of
William Farmer< no role > then and there lying dead, upon the Oath of Henry Nell< no role > ,
Edward Evitt< no role > , John Lee< no role > , John Foster< no role > , John Walter< no role > , Benjamin Poole< no role > , William Eldridge< no role > , James Mills< no role > ,
Samuel Pritchard< no role > , Walter Tristram< no role > , Adam Ragg< no role > , John Whitfield< no role > , and Edward Wilder< no role >
good and lawful Men of the said Liberty, duly
chosen, who being then and there duly sworn and charged to enquire for our said Lord the
King, when, how, and by what Means the said William Farmer< no role > came to
h is Death, do upon their Oath say, That the said William Farmer< no role > on the Eleventh day of
May in the Year aforesaid at the Parish and in the Liberty and County aforesaid (to wit) at his
Apartment or Dwelling in little Peter Street, Departed this Life by excessive Drinking, and
not from any Hurt Injury or Violence done or committed by any other Person whatsoever to
the Knowlege of the said Jurors. In Witness whereof as well the said Coroner at the
Foreman of the Jurors aforesaid on behalf of himself and the rest of the said Jurors have to
this Inquisition set their Hands and Seals the Day Year and at the Place abovementioned.
