James Wilmot< no role > House Surgeon at St. George's Hospl
in the Parish of St. George Hanr. Square on his Oath
saith That on Saturday Morning last (March 5th.)
James Claxton< no role > the Deced was brought to said Hospital
with a Wound in his Throat, with a Swelling in the
left Thigh and Arm, Says that the wound in the Throat [..]
had been Served up being about three Inches in
length, Says that he cut the Stitches open and
Sewed up the wound again, Says that the Deced
pulse was very low, but, that the was Sensible, and told Dept. that he
gave himself the wound, in the Throat and that he was not in his Senses Says that
the Deced died that Afternoon in said Hospital
and has no reason to think but that his Death
was in Consequence of the wound abovementioned

Henry Hewett< no role > of Brompton Nursery Man on
his Oath Saith, That the Deced has worked about
six weeks for Dept. Says that Mr. Bristow on
Saturday Morning last acquainted Dept. that Claxton
the Deced had cut his Throat upon which Dept. went
to Deced and saw the Wound in Deceds Throat which
Deced told Dept. he had given to himself with a
Knife, which knife Dept. saw there Bloody, Says that
the Deced looked very wild and Disordered "and Deced
"said that he had had no rest for two nights, that he
"Dreamed he had killed a Child which was in Bed
"with him, for which he was to be Hanged, and thought
"he might as well cut his own Throat, That he had seen
"all the Kingdoms of the world that Night, and had been
"lifted up and down in his Bed" And Dept. says that
he believes the Deced gave himself the wound in
his Throat and that he was Delirious by the violence
of his Fever
