Informations taken this Second day of March 1774
at the Parish of St. George Hanover Square within the Liberty
of Westmr. in the County of Midsex upon an Inquisition
touching the death of Mary Burchell< no role > lying dead in the
said Parish Liberty and County.

Mary Elizabeth Fox< no role > Wife of Thomas Fox< no role > Laborer of Ca [..] Building
near Portman Square Mary bone on her Oath saith, That she
has had the Care of Mr. Hatton's House in Green Street in
the Parish of St. George Hanover Square of fortnight this day,
Says that she has known Mary Burchell< no role > the Deced about six months
last past but had not seen the Deced for five weeks, when
she met the Deced in the Street one day in the week
before last, and Dept. then told Deced that she was taking
care of Mr. Hatton's House in Green Street, says that on
Thursday Morning last (Febry 24th) between nine and
Ten o'Clock in the Morning the Deced knocked at Mr. Hatton's
Door, and on Dept asking the Deced if she had Breakfasted
Deced said that she had not, and then Dept. desired her to
go down Stairs and have some (Dept. being then at Breakfast
Says that the Deced drank five Dishes of Tea and a slice
of Bread a round the Loaf toasted and Buttered, and that
the Deced had nothing else there to Eat or Drink, says
that the Deced staid about an hour with Dept. and then
went away, appearing to be in as good Heath as she
had been ever since Dept. knew her, Says that the Deced
has had a violent Cough for about two months, and
Sometimes by Coughing Spit so much that Deced used to
say that she brought her inside up. Says that in about
three Minutes or a Little more, after Deced went away
from Dept. some Person knocked at Mr. Hatton's Door and
on Dept. opening it she saw the Deced sitting upon the
Steps before the Door Bleeding at the Nose, upon which
the Decedsaidasked Dept. for some water which Dept. brought
to her, and then Deced said I shall be choaked, and desired
Depont to fetch some person to stop the Blood, says that she
went (leaving the Deced with Mr. Irlam who was endeavoring
to assist her) to fetch a Surgeon in the Neighbourhood, and when
she returned she found the Deced dead upon the Steps, and Dept
believes that the Deced was not ill used by and Body, but that
her death was occasioned by her violent Coughing.
