and that the Deced than was stupid, Says that
the Deced had Pawned her Gown and divers other
things, That this Dept. on Sunday last desired the
Deced to take her Gown out of Pawn, to which Deced
answered that she should never want it more

John Jones< no role > Grave Digger of the Parish of St. George
Hanover Square on his Oath saith, That on Monday
Morning last ( Feb.28) between Ten and Eleven
o'Clock He went to Mr. Mc. Loughlin where he was
informed that a Woman was Drowned in Hyde Park
Says that he went with the Bearers, and in the
Serpentine River saw the Deced Floating upon
her Back in the Serpentine River, about Ten feet
from the Shore Says that he pulled the Deced to the
Shore in the Parish of St. George Hanover Square
That she was dead, but did not appear to have been
long in the Water, Says that the Deced was carried
in a Shell to the Bow house, where Depot this day
examined the Body but observed no Marks of
violence upon the Body.

Jeremiah Beaver< no role > of Down Street in the Parish
of St. George Hanr. Square Schoolmaster on his Oath saith, That
George Mobbes< no role > & his Wife the Deced have Lodged with
Dept. four or five Years, Says that the Deced was as
wellbehaved Woman, but was sometimes in Liquor
Says, that he was informed that the Deced was going
to Drown herself in the Serpentine River last Sumer
