Informations taken this Seventh day
of February 1774 at the Parish of St. George
Hanover Square within the Liberty of
Westmr. in the County of Middlesex upon on
Inquisition touching the death of Edward
Miller
< no role > lyine dead in the said Parish
Liberty and County.

James Sowerby< no role > Apprentice to Richard. Weight< no role > of
Pimlico Painter on his Oath saith That he came home
to Mr. Wrights yesterday about four o'Clock in the
afternoon and found Edward Miller< no role > the Deced there
who asked Dept. logs to Shait with him to which Dept.
agreed, and they both accordingly went to a Pond
by the side of the Kings Road near Bloody Bridge
in the Parish of St. George Hanr Square , Says
that the Deced put on his Skeats an [..] Went
upon the See and [..] ated about ten Minutes
Says that he his Dept. went on the Ice a
little way but finding it long [..] ous, he came off
again and desired Deced to come off, but Deced
would not, and very soon after the Ice broke
and Deced fell into the Water and was Drowned
Says that there was no Person upon the Ice
near to the Deced when he fell in, and that
Deceds death was merely Accidental by the
breaking of the Ice.
