The Tub by the back Door, having his Shirt Cap
and Great Coat on, Says that she felt one of the Deced's Legs
which was Cold and Dept. believes that the Deced was
dead, Says that she then went to her Mistress and
accquainted her with what had happened, at which
she appeared to be much Surprized and Shocked
Says that a LIttle after Eleven o'Clock last Night
Dept. thinks that she heard Mrs. Stockman lock her
Bedchamber Door on the Second Floor. but is not
certain. Says that the Deced last Night looked
as well and composed as he used to do. and think
it very possible for him (being old and infirm)
in coming into the Yard in the Dark to fall
Accidentally into the Water Tub Where in the
Deced was found drowned

John Stockman< no role > Servant to the Deced on his
Oath Saith That he has lived about fifteen Years with
the Deced That he heard the Deced come home last
Night between nine and ten o'Clock, That he staid a few
minutes in the Parlour and then went up stairs to
Bed as Dept. thought That he this Dept went to Bed a little
before Eleven o'Clock and was awaked about
Three o'Clock this Morning by Mary Edwards< no role > the
Maid Servant who said the Dining room, Door is open
and the Back Door, that she saw somebody's Legs
out of the Tub in the Yard, and believed there had
been Thieves in the House, upon which Dept. went
down and when the Maid had Struck a light Dept
saw the Deced Drowned in the latter Tub by the
back door with his Head and part of his Body in
the Water and his legs hearing down on the outside
says that he felt the Deced's which was Cold

And Dept. believes that he was dead, says that
he called in several of the Neighbours who took
Deced out of the Tub, Says that the Deced used
sometimes to go down into the Yard after he
was gone to Bed, That the Deced had sometimes
a Giddiness in his Head, and that Dept. supported
him when he was falling down in one of the there first
and frequently used to ask the same Question
Several times, Says that the Deced was Seventy
three or Seventy four Years of Age and at times
very feeble and Dept. thinks it very possible
that the Deced so infirm as the Deced. has might
in going to the Yard in the Dark Accidentally fall
into the Water Tub where deced was found [..]
if the Deced happened to be seized with one of his
[..]
