Westmr. on his Oath saith That he has lived there<lb></lb>
about Eight months, That Mr. Pawley has been some time ill<lb></lb>
and that the Deced was with him last Night in his Bed chamber<lb></lb>
about Eleven o'Clock when Dept. went to Bed, Says that he<lb></lb>
sleeps in the Garret and got up this Morning about Seven<lb></lb>
o'Clock and came down Stairs, Says that about half hour<lb></lb>
after Seven o'Clock Mr. Bates sent Dept. up<del>into his<obscured></obscured>

Stairs for a Hair Broom to sweep out the Taproom and<lb></lb>
on going to his Garret Door he found it Bolted on the inside<lb></lb>
Says that he called and having no Answer, he pulled a<lb></lb>
string hanging on the outside of the Door, by which he removed<lb></lb>
the Bolt back, and when he went into the Room he<lb></lb>
saw the Deced Hanging by a Garter which was fastened<lb></lb>
to a Wooden Rail for Cloak Pins and around her Neck<lb></lb>
the Deced's Knees being upon or near the Floor, upon<obscured></obscured>
<lb></lb>
Dept. came down Stairs and acquainted Mr. Pawley's Nurse<lb></lb>
there with, who went up with Dept. to the Deced and<lb></lb>
immediately after called Mr. Bates who went up with<lb></lb>
Dept. and ordered Dept. to fetch a Knife, with which<lb></lb>
Mr. Bates out the Garter by which the Deced was Hanging<lb></lb>
Says that Mr. Churchill the <rs type="occupation" id="WACWIC65212_occ755">apothecary</rs>

was fetched<del>who Bled the Deced</del>

but Dept. observed no Signs of Life in the Deced and believes<lb></lb>
that she hanged herself</p>
