Verdict of the Jury touching the Death of Ann Nicholson< no role >
That the said Ann Nicholson< no role >
on the 24th, day of July 1772, not being of
Sound Mind Memory and Understanding but Lunatic and Distracted one end
of a certain peice of Cord fastened to a Staple in the Ceiling of the two
pair of Stairs fore Room in the Dwelling House of W, James Nicholson< no role >
her
Husband in Piccadilly
in the Parish of St. James in the Liberty of Westmr
and the other and of the said peice of Lord about her own Neck did lye
fix and faster and therewith did then and there hang suffocate and
strangle herself of which she the said Ann Nicholson< no role >
then and there
instantly Died. And so the Jurors on thin Oath say that the said Ann
Nicholson< no role >
being Lunatick and Distracted in manner and by the means
aforesaid did Kill herself. In Witness whereof the Foreman of the
said Jurors on behalf of himself and the rest of the Jurorshave has
hereunto Let his hand this 25th, day of July 1772.
