at the Parish of St. Margaret within the
Liberty of Westmr. in the County of Middlesex
upon
an Inquisition touching the death of
Elizabeth Jennings< no role >
lying dead in the said Parish Liberty and County.

on his Oath saith That Elizabeth Jennings< no role >
the Deced has lived with him as a Servant about two Months
that she appeared to be in good Health until about afortnight
ago when she complained of a pain in her Bowels for two or
three days and then was better Says that on Tuesday Morning
last, July 7th; the Deced said that she was not well, that she
was afflicted with the Cholick and was very restless, upon
which the Depts. wife gave her some Brandy and Deced
appeared to be much better in the Afternoon, That the Deced
about four o'Clock that Afternoon went out with Depts. Children
in order to go into St. James's Park
and returned about Eight
oClock the same Evening, That she then appeared to be low
Spirited and about Nine oClock complained of a violent
pain in her Bowels, and in the Yard vomited very much
Says that the Deced then went up Stairs into the Garret
where she used to sleep Says that on finding that the
Deced continued in pain he sent for Mr. Littlefear the
Apothecary
who came there and Examined the Deced who
made him little or no Answer, Says that he ordered her
some Modicine and in about an hour came there again
and ordered her things to make her vomit, which she
accordingly did, Says that from the Deced's appearance
and her continuing to Reach, Dept. suspected that she had
taken something and desired her to declare what it was,
and on this Dept. Mrs. Trley & Mrs. Burrel's going out of
the Room, Deced said to Mrs. Tomlinson this Depts. wife, in Depts.
Hearing, that she had bought two pennyworth of Arsenick in Longditch
and
had taken it that Afternoon mixed with water, and on
Deced's being asked how she came to do so, she Answered
that it was upon the Account of her youngest Sister's being a very
