a Lodger next Door to the
Marquifs of Granly in Bridge Row Chelsea
on
his Oath saith That he was coming from his work
at the Water Works Chelsea Yesterday afternoon a
little after six o'Clock, when he was informed that
a Man was Drowned in the River near Chelsea
Bridge, upon which he took off his Cloaths and
went into the River where he found the Deed about the
Middle of the River an got him to the Shore Drowned
Says that the Deced was rubbed with Salt and some
Water drained out of him but no Sigure of Life
appeared, Says that the Deced was naked and
that his Cloaths Lay upon the Shore, that he Searched
his Pockets in the Presence of Mr. Griffith and other
People an found therein one Shilling and one Penny
