An Inquisition Indented, taken for our Sovereign, Lord the
King, at the Parish of Saint Clement Danes
within the Liberty of the Dean and Chapter of the Collegiate Church of St. Peter, Westminster ,
in the County of Middlesex , the First day of April in the Twelfth Year
of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third, by the Grace of God, of Great-Britain,
France and Ireland King, Defender of the Faith, and so forth, before Thomas Prickard< no role > , Gentleman,
Coroner of our said Lord the King for the said City and Liberty, on View of the Body of
Thomas Hussey< no role > an Infant then and there lying dead, upon the Oath of William
Richardson
< no role > , Joseph Jones< no role > , Thomas Daniel< no role > , Christopher Hydey< no role > , Richard Dyer< no role > ,
Thomas Barnes< no role > , John Champion< no role > , Thomas Coffin< no role > , Peter Weldon< no role > , John Hedges< no role > ,
John Bourquin< no role > , William Jenkins< no role > , John Frederick Hankinharp< no role > , John Hunt< no role > ,
William Dudley< no role > and James Walton< no role > good and lawful Men of the said Liberty, duly
chosen, who being then and there duly sworn and charged to enquire for our said Lord the
King, when, how, and by what Means the said Thomas Hussey< no role > came to
h is Death, do upon their Oath say, That the said Thomas Hussey< no role > the Infant on the
Twenty eighth day of March in the Year aforesaid, being in the Lodging
Room or Apartment of Jonathan Hussey< no role > his Father, in the dwelling House
of Lewis Ledie< no role > situate in Newcastle Court in the Parish aforesaid within
the Liberty and County aforesaid, and being then and there standing
upon a Chair near one of the Windows in the said Room, and the lower
Sash of the said Window being up, It so happened that the said Thomas
Hussey
< no role > the Infant Accidentally Casually and by Misfortune fell out of and
through the said Window into the said Court, and thereby received one
mortal Fracture in and upon the fore part of his Head of which said mortal
Fracture he the said Thomas Hussey< no role > then and there died, And so the
Jurors aforesaid upon their Oath aforesaid do say, that the said Thomas
Hussey
< no role > in Manner and by the Means aforesaid, Accidentally casually
and by Misfortune came to his death, and not otherwise.
In Witness whereof as well the said Coroner, as the said William
Richardson
< no role > foreman of the said Jurors, on the behalf of himself
and the rest of his Fellows, in their presence, have to this Inquisition
set their Hands and Seals the Day Year and Place first above written
