on his Oath Saith, That he was watching his Master's<lb></lb>
Brewhouse yesterday Morning about two o'Clock, when he<lb></lb>

Sugar baker<lb></lb>
with his Breeches down, Says that he spoke to the Deced<lb></lb>
and shook him, but Deced was not able to make any<lb></lb>
Answer, Says that about three o'Clock Mr. Emerton one of the Watchman<lb></lb>
of <rs type="placeName" id="WACWIC65211_geo1370">St. John's Parish</rs>

came up, and assisted this dept<lb></lb>
to lift the Deced to the side of Mr. Bardolph's House<lb></lb>
where they left him, and then went away, Says that<lb></lb>
he thought from the looks of the Deced and his being<lb></lb>
Speechless that he was then dying, Says, that about a <lb></lb>
Quarter after four o'Clock. Mr. Blosset another watchman<lb></lb>
and this Dept. went to the Deced, and found him in the<lb></lb>
same place alive,but appearing to be dying, when they<lb></lb>
fetched some Litter from Mr. Scott's Stables, and laid some<lb></lb>
of it upon the Ground under the Deced and some upon<lb></lb>
him, Says that it then Rained and was very cold<lb></lb>
That he saw the Deced again in the same place a little<lb></lb>
after five o'Clock, when he was dead. Says that he<lb></lb>
observed no Marks of violence upon the Deced, And<lb></lb>
this Dept. Says that Emerton the Watchman at three o'Clock<lb></lb>
told this Dept. that he found the Deced in the Kennet there<lb></lb>
at a Quarter before One o'Clock, and had lifted him into<lb></lb>
the Footway near Mr. Bardolph's House, That Mr. Curtis<lb></lb>
saw the Man lying there a little after three o'Clock and had<lb></lb>
told him that he might come into Trouble for offering him to<lb></lb>
Eye there</p>
