day of September 1771 at the Parish of St. Margt.
in the Liberty of Westmr . in the County of Midsex
upon an Inquisition touching the death of
James Treadwell< no role > being dead in the said Parish
LIberty and County

Elizabeth< no role > the wife of John Chetwynd< no role > of Downing Street
Westmr. Periwes maker on her Oath saith That the Deced
James Treadwell< no role > out of put who lived with Depont. and John Chetwynd< no role >
Dept. Son were playing together in the Back Garret in
Depts. Hence yesterday in the afternoon, Says that she
looked in there and saw them at Play. That the went
again a little after and missed the Children and on seeing
the Window open the looked out and saw both the Children
at the top of the Ridge of Dept. House over the Window
says that she called and that her Son immediately
came down off the Ridge and came in thro' the Window
and Dept. desired the Deced to stay there, and called
up her Husband who came immediately, Says that
the called to the deced again three times and having not
Answer she feared that the deced had fallen down, and
immediately some person Knocked at the Door who said
that the deced had fellen down into Mr. Wild's Yard who
is the next Neighbour to this dept. says that the Deced was
soon after brought into is Depts. House speechless and bleeching from
a Wound on his right Ear. and having some Bruises
upon his Body and left arm says that the Deced was
blooded by Mr. Greaves the Surgeon but died in about
three Hours. Says that she saw no Person upon the top
of the House with the Deced when her own Son was
called in and believes that there was no Person there
and that the Deced's fall was Accidental.
