to wit

An Inquisition Indented taken for our Sovereign Lord the
King at the Parish of St. John the Evangelist within the Liberty of Dean and Chapter of the
Collegiate Church of St. Peter Westminster in the County of Middlesex the Nineteenth day of
September in the Eleventh Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third by
the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland king Defender of the Faith and so forth, before
Thomas Prickard< no role > Gentleman Coroner of our said Lord the King for the said City and Liberty On View on the Body
of John Snook< no role > then and there lying dead upon the Oath of Robert Watson< no role > , Andrew Steins< no role > , Thomas Blackmore< no role >
Emanuel Lloyd< no role > , Thomas Barlow< no role > , Silas Payne< no role > , Henry Halt< no role > , Edward Roberts< no role > , Benjamin Cocken< no role > ,
Thomas Bickner< no role > , William Jarvis< no role > , Amos Charles< no role > , Thomas Wilkinson< no role > , John Storr< no role >
and John Dove< no role > good and lawfull Men of the said Liberty duly
chosen who being than and there duly Sworn and Charged to inquire for own said Lord the King when, who, and
by What means the said John Snook< no role > come to his Death do upon their Oath say
That Fredrick Wilke< no role > late of the Parish of St, Margaret within the Liberty and County aforesaid Laborer not
having the Fear of God before his Eyes, but moved and seduced by the inquisition of the Devil on the
Seventh day of September in the Year aforesaid, with Force and Arms. at the Parish aforesaid within the
Liberty and County aforesaid, in and upon the said John Snook< no role > then and there being in the Peace of God and
of our said Lord the King Feloniously Wilfully and of his Malice aforethought did make an Assault And that
the said Frederick Wilke< no role > with a Certain Blaspknife made of Iron and Steel of no Value which he the said
Frederick Wilke then and there had and held in his Right Hand, him the said John Snook< no role > in and upon the
Upper part of the Back on the rightside of the Spine of him the said John Snook< no role > did then and there strike
stab and penetrate and that the said Frederick Wilke by the striking and Stabbing aforesaid did then and there
give unto him the said John Snook< no role > in and upon the Upper part of his Back on the Right side of the Spine, with
the Claspknife aforesaid one mortal Wound of the Length of One Inch and an half, and of the Depth of
three Inches of which said mortal Wound he the said John Snook< no role > from the said Seventh day of September in
the Year aforesaid until the Seventeenth day of the same Month in the same Year at the said Parish of St. Margaret and
also at the said Parish of St. John the Evangelist , within the Liberty and County aforesaid, did languish and Languishing
did live on which said Seventeenth day of September in the Year aforesaid at the said Parish of St. John the Evangelist
within the Liberty and County aforesaid, he the said John Snook< no role > of the Mortal wound aforesaid did die. And so the Jurors
aforesaid upon their Oath aforesaid do say, that the said Fredrick Wilke him the said John Snook< no role > in Manner and by
the Means aforesaid Feloniously wilfully and of his Malice afore thought did hill and Murder against the Peace of
our said Lord the king his Crown and Dignity and that the said Fredrick Wilke< no role > at the time of the Committing
the Felony and Murder aforesaid, or at any time since had no goods or Chattels Lord or Tenements in the said
Liberty or elsewhere to the Knowledge of the said Jurors. In Witness whereof as well the said Coroner
as the said Robert Watson< no role > Foreman of the said Jurors on the behalf of himself and the rest of his Fellows
in their presence, have to this Inquisition set their Hands and Seals the Day Year and Place first
above Written
