Informations taken this Fifteenth day
of May 1771 at the Parish of St. Martin in the fields
within the Liberty of Westmr. in the County of
Middlesex upon an Inqusition touching the death of Mark
Aldersey
< no role > lying dead in the said Parish Liberty and County
Richard Huck< no role > of Spring Gardens Doctor of Physick
on his Oath saith That on Friday Night last about
Eleven o'Clock Dept. was desired to came to the Deced whom
he foudnd in great pain in his Belly and having then a violent
Purging, says that the [..] Dept. Could feel no Pulse of he
and after repeatedly asking him if he know any cauce
of there Complaints Deced Acknowledged that he had
taken half an Ounce of Sublimate that Morning
which he bought of a Chymist . Says that Sublimate
is of a Poisonous Quality, that he recommended
Proper things for the Deced which he refused to take,
for sometime, but at last submitted to three Glystes
as Dept. was informed. And Dept. says that he
believes the Poison which the Deced took was
the Came of his Death.
