Informations taken this Twelfth day of
February 1771 at the Parish of St. George
Hanover Square within the Liberty of Westmr
in the County of Middlesex upon on
Inquisition touching the Death of a
SamuelMan Unknown lying dead in the said Parish
Liberty and County.

Robert Hodges< no role > one of the Watchmen of the Parish of
St. George Hanr. Square in the Hamlet called Avery Farm
on his Oath saith That on Sunday Night last as he was
crying the hour of Twelve in Flask Lane, Mr. Ball who
keeps the Flask called to Dept. saying that a Man
lay there making a Noise which prevented his Keeping
and desired Dept. to take him away, upon which Deced
said that he would go with him and Deced walked
with Dept. into Chelsea Road , Says that Deced appeared
to be in Liquor and that he told Dept. that he had a lodging
over the Wooden Bridge, upon which Dept. offered
to light him home, but Deced said that he would
go home himself when he gota littlesome more Liquor
Says that he did not see Deced when he cryed the
hour of One, but at Two o'Clock Deced stood in the foot
way about forty Yards from Mr. Page's Door and told
Dept. that he wanted Liquor, That at three o'Clock Deced
was walking before Mr. Page's Door saying that he was
not go from thence until he had some Gin & [..]
bud did not call Mr. Page, That at Four o'Clock Deced
stood up against Mr. Pages Door, and repeated what
he had said at three, Says that when he cryed the
hour of Five he found the Deced lying on one side
at Mr. Page's Door, and Appeared to be a good deal
Number's with the Cold, Says that he took him and put
him to sit down upon a Bench by the side of Page's
House where he left Deced, says that he asked Deced
why he did not go home to which he answered that
