An Inquisition Indented, taken for our Sovereign Lord the
King, at the Parish of Saint George Hanover Square
within the Liberty of the Dean and Chapter of the Collegiate Church of St. Peter, Westminster ,
in the County of Middlesex , the Third day of September in the Tenth Year
of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third, by the Grace of God, of Great-Britain,
France and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, and so forth, before Thomas Prickard< no role > , Gentleman,
Coroner of our said Lord the King for the said City and Liberty, on View of the Body of
Richard Gibbles< no role > then and there lying dead, upon the Oath of John

< no role > , and John Smithers< no role > good and lawful Men of the said Liberty, duly
chosen, who being then and there duly sworn and charged to enquire for our said Lord the
King, when, how, and by what Means the said Richard Gibbles< no role > came to
h is Death, do upon their Oath say That the said Richard Gibbles on the
Twenty first day of August in the Year aforesaid being driving a certain
Cart loaded with Dung and drawn by two Horses in the Common Highway
leading to Brompton in the Parish of Kensington in the County aforesaid,
It so happened that the said Richard Gibbles Accidentally casually and by
misfortune fell down in the said Road, and that the Near wheel of the said
Cart, so drawn as aforesaid, did then and there go upon and over the Breast
of the said Richard Gibbles, by means whereof the said Richard Gibbles< no role >
did then and there Accidentally casually and by misfortune receive divers
mortal Bruises in and upon his Breast and right side, of which said
mortal Bruises he the said Richard Gibbles< no role > from the said Twenty first
Day of August in the year aforesaid until the [..] day of the same
Month and year, at the said Parish of St. George Hanover Square within
the Liberty and County aforesaid, did languish and languishing did
live, on which said Thirtieth day of August in the Year aforesaid at
the said Parish of St. George Hanover Square , he the said Richard Gibbles
of the Mortal Bruises aforesaid, did die, and so the Jurors aforesaid upon
their Oath aforesaid do say, that the said Richard Gibbles in Manner
and by the Means aforesaid, Accidentally casually and by misfortune
came to his Death, and not otherwise, And that the said near wheel of
the said Cart moved to the Death of the said Richard Gibbles, and is of
the Value of five shillings, and the property and in the Possession of
Richard Wilcocks< no role > of Fulham in the said County of Middlesex Gardener
or his Assigns. In Witness whereof as well the said Coroner, as the
said John Chant< no role > Foreman of the said Jurors, on the behalf of himself
and the rest of his Fellows, in their presence, have to this Inquisition
set their Hands and seals the Day year and place [..] above written
