Informations of Witnesses taken this 12th. day of
August 1769 in the Parish of St. Margaret Westminster at
the Dwelling House of Mr. John Harriett< no role > the Sign of
the Kings head in James Street Before Thomas Richard< no role >
Gentleman His Majesty's Coroner for the said City and Liberty
touching the Death of William Lee< no role > then and there lying
Dead as Follow

William Slater< no role > Pupil attending the Westminster Hospital in James
Street Westminster on his Oath says that he saw the Deced on the
14th. Day of July last at the said Hospital where he was informed
he was brought the day before to wit the 13th. of July, and on
Examining his Body found on the left Thigh a large lacorated Wound
quite to the Bone, and Deponent was informed the Wheel of a
Cart loaden with Bricks had run over him, Deponent says the
Wound has been treated with all Possible care in the Hospital
but that a Putred Fever which usually is the attendant of such
large Wounds came on about 4 or 5 days ago, of which Fever
the Deced died this Morning, and Deponent apprehends that the
said wound was the certain cause of his Death, Deponent says he
heard Deced say that he called to the Carter to Stop, but that he did not
but
