Dorothy Dear< no role > Widow on her Oath says that she has lived
with the Deced 10 Months, that Yesterday Morning, she heard
Mr. Gate a Lodger in the said House Knocking at the Entry Door
and called out for Mr. Simpson, but not receiving any Answer
from him nor let in by him as he expected he could to Depont,
she said she Supposed Mr. Simpson was gone out a Walking
Deponent who Layed in the Back Parlour get up and let
Mr. Gate in, Deponent then went to upon the Shop Door but
found it fast she therefore forced it open, and discovered Mr.
Simpson hanging. Deponent says he seemed to be much
distressed in Mind, that she has often ask'd him about it, but
he never told her any Particular, but said be did not know
about ask'd him, says he was very much inclined to be
Drowsy. did not care to go to see any Body, but chose to
Stay at home, Deponent says when she has been out, she
has often observed him at her Coming home holding the Door in
his hand and Watching her coming, and has said I m' glad
your come
