Informations of Witnesses taken this 5th.
day of August 1769 , in the Parish of St.
George Hanover Square at the Dwelling House
of Mr. John Cocks< no role > the Sign of the Admoril
Vernon's Head in North Audley Street Before
Thomas Prickard< no role > Gentleman this Majesty's
Coroner for the said Liberty touching the Deaths
of Dennis Norton< no role > and Thomas Core< no role > then
and there lying Dead, as follow

Joseph Fort< no role > of St. Mary le bone Apothecary says that he
Attended when the deceased Persons were taken out of the
Water, that he opened the Veins and formed that the Vital
Spirits were gone and the Pulsation stop, and that he
Apprehended they were better Dead, that he caused them
to be rubbed with hall and used all necessary means,
but to no purpose

Mr. Daniel Bulfield< no role > one of the Jurymen informed the
Request that he was informed by a Boy who was in the
Water near Portman Square Yesterday in the Evening with
the two Deced Men that he saw them Stirg and go into
