Informations taken this Eight day of June
1769 at the Parish of St Margaret within the City & Liberty
of Westmr . in the County of Middlesex upon on Inquisition
touching the Death of Joseph Jacob< no role > Lying dead in the
said Parish City Liberty and County.

Edward Sheppard< no role > a Pupil at the Westmr Hospital on his [..]
saith That on the Seventh day of May last Joseph Jacob< no role > the [..]
was brought to said Hospital of a Casualty, with a wound on
Crown of his Head, which Deced informed Dept he has reced by
the King of a Horse or Mare, says that the Wound was Dress [..]
by the Surgeons and all proper care taken of Deced in said [..]
says that no Dangerous Symptoms appeared until last w [..]
and that Deced died in said Hospital on wednesday Night
7th. of June instant, says that the Deced's Head was open
this day in Dept. presence, when they found a large Quant [..]
of Matter between the Dura Mater and the Brain, and
Dept believes it to be occasioned by the kick abovementioned
and believes the Deced's Death owing to the Injury
abovementioned.

Benjamin Chandler< no role > a Soldier in Colonel Milos Company in
the Firsts Regiment of Foel Guards on his Oath saith, That on
Sunday the seventh day of May in the Forenoon Dept. went
into the stable Yard in Queen Square in the Parish of St. Margaret
Westmr . to speak to Joseph Jacob< no role > the Deced who was employed
to took after Mr. Founeraan's Horses that stood in said yard,
says that the Deced was going to Oil the Heals of a Bay Mare
(which Deced tels this Dept. belonged to Mr. Fenneroau) and
going behind her in the staple when the said Mare with both her hinder
Feel kicked the Deced down and after he was down
Kicked him seven or Eight times, says that the Deced thereby
reced a large wound upun his Head which bled very much
says that the Deced when on the Ground desired Dept. to take
him away, which Dept. did as soon as he could, otherwise he
believes that the Deced had been killed there, says that he
