John Carver< no role > of Silver Street Stable keeper on his Oath
saith that the Deced lived with him in the Capacity of
Hostler upwards of a Year, Says that he was very often
in Liquor, and has been gone from Dept. about four Years,
but kept a Room in Depts. Stable Yard until Midsummer
last, Says that Deced used to Quarrel with his Wife who
was an Industrious Woman, and Says that he has thought
from the Deced's behaviour, that he was not at all times
in his perfect Senses.

Elizabeth May< no role > (Wife of John May< no role > ) on her Oath saith That about
three Years ago, Deced's Wife called Dept. and her Husband who
lodged in the next Room to Deced in Mr. Carver's Yard, at Night
when Dept. was in Bed, Says that She went with her Husband
into Deced's Room and saw him with a Neckcloth tied
around his Neck and the other End of it fixed to a Nail
drove into the Wainscot of his Room, Says that her Husband
cut the Neckcloth, and that Deced, upon being asked if he was
not ashamed for what he had done, said if he had not done it
then he would do it some other time, and this Dept. says
that she believes the Deced was not at all times in his
Senses.
