Informations taken this Sixteenth day of
November 1768 at the Parish of St. Anne within
the Liberty of Westmr . in the County of Middlesex ,
on an Inquisition touching the Death of Alexander
Mc. Cloughlin
< no role > lying dead in the said Parish Liberty and
County.

William Groote< no role > of Nassan Street Apothecary on his Oath
saith That in his Way home last night a little before Twelve o'Clock
this Dept. hearing a Noise in Gerrard Street in the Parish
of St. Ann Westmr . and upon Enquiry was informed that a
Man had been run over by a [..] Coach in that Street
and Mr. [..] Ainge one of the Church Wardens desired
Mr. Groote to go to the Watch house (where the Man was taken
to Bleed him, Says that he went immediately to the
watchhouse and found the Deced [..] in a Chair and
a Gentleman just going to Bleed him, Says that Deced
bled a few [..] rops only, and appeared to be Dead, having [..]
Pulse that could be discovered. Says that on Examining
the Deced he found a small Wound on the left side of
his Mouth, and a Largerated [..] considerableContusion on the
left Temple, which Dept. believes to be the Cause of
Deced's Death. And this Dept. further saith that on
Examining the Body this day, he found the Stomach
Swelled.

James Wike< no role > of Gerrard Street Apothecary on his
Oath saith, That last Night before Twelve oClock, on some
Person knocking at Depts. Door, he opened it and saw the
Deced upon the Step before his Door held up by the
Watchman and Others who desired this Dept. to bleed him
Says that he felt the Deced but could discover no Pulse, Says
that he Advised the Deced's being carried to some House and
he would attempt to bleed him, and Deced was carried to the
Sworn Tavern in Grafton Street , and [..] the People refused
to take the Deced in as Dept. was informed Says that the
Deced was then carried upon a Horn to the Parish Whitchhouse
