Thomas Mitchel< no role > of St. James's Market Butcher on his
Oath saith That on Saturday Night last William Shinglar< no role > the
Deced come to Depts. shop and said that Dept. should treat
him with a pint of Beer, upon which Dept. said if he would
go down into the Cellar and order it, Dept. would follow him
Says that Deced in going towards the Cellar Staggered
against a Woman standing in the Market, upon which
the Woman with one of her hands pushed the Deced
between the Shoulders, and Deced stepped down three or
four Stairs and then catched at a Rope upon the Stairs
but missing it, fell down to the bottom with his Head
foremost, Says that he this Dept. soon after went down into the Cellar
and saw a Surgeon bled the Deced; who was speechless
and bled very much at one of his Ears and Dept.
thought him to be dying, Says that the Deced was carried
home, and Dept. was informed that he died there yesterday,
Says that the Deced appeared to be in Health on Saturday
Night last, but much in Liquor, Says that the Deced
had no Quarrel with the Woman before he fell into
the Cellar.

Nathaniel Lynford< no role > of St. James's Market Porter on his
Oath saith That on Saturday Night last Dept. being in
Mr. Roberts Cellar in St. James's Market , saw the Deced
Slide down two or three steps at the top of the Stairs
upon his heels and then slipped, and fell to the bottom
with the Right side of his Head against the Stone Floor where the Deced lay speechless. and bled very much
out of one of his Ears. Says that a Surgeon blad the Deced
who was afterwards carried home.

Sarah Shinglar< no role > of Cranbourn Street Sister to the Deced on
her Oath saith, that the Deced was brought home last Saturday
Night speechless, and bleeding very much out of his Right Ear
Says that he was attended by Dr. Raubin, Mr. Wood and Mr.
Burgess, who said that the Deced's Scull was Fractured
and advised his being carried to St. George's Hospital , but
deced desired that he might remain in his own Bed
where he died yesterday afternoon, and Dept. believes that
the hurt which he reced in his Head was the cause of his Death
