Morning being then a little in Liquor<lb></lb>
on Examining the Deced, Dept. discovered a large Wound<lb></lb>
on the right side of his Head, and many Bruises in different<lb></lb>
parts of his Body, Says that the Deced became better the next<lb></lb>
day and continued so for the 1st. five or six days, but had a<lb></lb>
considerable Degree of Fever from the Beginning, together<lb></lb>
with an intense pain in his Head, about that time other<lb></lb>
dangerous Symptons came on and the Fever and pain in<lb></lb>
his Head increased. About a fortnight after his Admission<lb></lb>
he was seized with a violent Cough, and the other bad Symptons<lb></lb>
continued, not with standing the utmost care was taken<lb></lb>
of him till he died on <rs type="date" id="WACWIC65208_date42">February 20th</rs>

in the Morning. Says that he this day carefully Examined<lb></lb>
the dead Body of the Deced, and found the following appearances<lb></lb>
Vizt. In his Head immediately under the Wound an unusual<lb></lb>
thicker'd Appearance of the dura Mater, and in another part<lb></lb>
a Tendeney towards Mortification In the Breast, general<lb></lb>
Adhesion of the Lungs to the Plaura, and upon cutting into<lb></lb>
the Lungs, matter, No Mischief or Morbis appearance in<lb></lb>
the Abdomen, Says that from the above Accot. it is<lb></lb>
probable that the Fever, Pain in his<obscured></obscured>
Head and other<lb></lb>
bad Symptones were occasioned by the Wound and Briuses<lb></lb>
which he had received; but it is reasonable to suppose that<lb></lb>
the Caugh and Disease of the Lungs was not the Effect of the<lb></lb>
Injury then done him, The Diseased appearance of the<lb></lb>
dura Mater after Death was without doubt the Consequence<lb></lb>
of the Wound, and might have given rise to many of the<lb></lb>
