Informations taken this Third day of Septr.
1767 at the Parish of St. Margaret within the
City & Liberty of Westmr. in the County of Midsex
on an Inquisition touching the Death of John
White
< no role > an Infant lying dead in the said Parish
City Liberty and County.

Rachael White< no role > Wife of John White< no role > a Lodger at Mr. Powell
Dealer in Coals on Mill Bank in the Parish of St. John the
Evangelist Westmr. on her Oath saith, That on the Eighteenth
day of August last, this Dept. sent Lettice White< no role > her Doughter
into the Garret to fetch down something that she wanted,
Says that the Deced (who was likewise Depts. Son) followed
his Sister, into the Garret, Says that in a few Minutes
she heard a noise, and a Child, Daughter of Mr. Powell
cried out that Jackey White< no role > was Fallen down, upon
which Dept. went and found the Deced at the bottom of
the Stairs with his Head on the lower Stair Says
that the Deced had a Wound on the left side of his
Head which bled much the Deced being then insensible
and unable to move, Says that he the next day became
to his senses and told this Dept. that while he was in the
Garret he heard a Noise upon the Stairs and coming
to the Stairs & fooking over the Rail, he fell down
over the Rail from the third pair of Stairs, to the
bottom, Says that the Deced was brought the same
day to the Westmr. Hospital where his Wound was Dressed
and Deced afterwards carried home to his Father's Lodging
Says that the Deced was Dressed the next day at the Hospital
and carried home, and the third day (being the 20th.) was
carried to th Hospital and left there, Says that he
appeared to be better for some time, and afterwards
grew worse, and died this Morning about Eight o' Clock
and this Dept. believes that the Wound was the came
of his Death.
