Informations taken this Fourteenth day of
August 1767 at the Parish of St. George Hanover
Square within the Liberty of Westmr in the County of
Middlesex on an Inquisition touching the Death
of Tishmen Babe< no role > lying Lead in the said Parish
Liberty and County

Thomas Keate< no role > Houce Surgeon at St. George's Hospital in
the Parish of St. George Hanover Square on his Oath saith That
the Deced was brought to said Hospital as a Casualty last week
Says that the Deced had a Bruise & Wound on his left foot, Says
that the Deced had a Fever for four or five days very violence
andand some Symptoms of Death appeared, which the
Deced seemed to be sensible of, Says that he saw the Deced
last Wednesday Evening when the Deced's seemed to be quite
sensible, Says that he was fetched to the Deced yesterday
Morning, whom ha found in Bed bleeding from a Woman
in his Throat, which had Penetrated into the Gullet, Says
that he observed no Signs of Life in the Deced, and that
he saw a Knife open on a Chair by the Bedside bloody,
with which the Wound appeared to Dept. to have been
given. Says that the Deced took a pretty large Quantity
of Opium on Wednesday last, which might possibly cause
a Delirium in the Deced.

Ann Hickson< no role > of Down Street, Assistant Nurse of
St. George's Hospital on her Oath saith, That she has Nurse
the Patients at Night in said Hospital for a fortnight last part
Says that the Deced was brought there last week as a Casualty
Says that she went into the Ward where Deced was last
Wednesday Night about then o'Clock, and found him very
bad, Says that she gave Deced such Medicines as were
ordered, once, but that he afterwards refuced to take them
Says that she several times Wiped the Deceds face, when
