Informations taken this Third day of July
1767 at the Parish of St. Martin in the Fields within
the Liberty of Westminster in the County of
Middlesex on an Inquisition touching the Death
of a Man Unknown lying Dead in the said Parish
Liberty and County.

John Macquest< no role > of Hungerford Market Waterman or
his Oath saith, That yesterday Morning between four
and five o'Clock he this Deponent saw the Body of a
Man floating in the River Thames near the side of a
Lighter at Hunge ford Stairs in the Parish of St.
Martin in the Fields within the Liberty of Westminster
Says that the Deced was Naked, and appeared to have
been Drowned several Days, Says that he was in
his Boat, and took hold of the Deced's Wrist and pull [..]
him to the Shore at Hungerford Stairs , and did not
see any Marks of Violence upon the Deded, Says the
between Eight and Nine o'Clock the same Morning
a Shell was brought by some Men who carried the
Deced therein from thence and said that they would
carry him to the Bone house of said Parish
