at the Parish of St. George
Hanover Square
within the
Liberty of Westmr. in the County of Middlesex
on an
Inquisition touching the Death of a Man Unknown
lying dead in the said Parish Liberty and County.

on his
Oath Saith, That on Monday Evening (the 1st. Instant) about half an hour
after nine o' Clock a Boy came to Dept. and informed him that a Man
was Drowned in Hyde Park
, in the Bason, since Nine o' Clock, and then
hiked helped to pull him out, Says that he immediately went with [..]
Boy into Hyde Park
and saw the deced lying Dead with his feet
the Bason, and a Cord
tied about both his Wrifts, says that he
observed no Marks of Violence upon the Deced, Says that the Deced
was left by the side of the Bason on the inside of the Iron Rails
that Night, and was removed to the Bonehouse belonging to said
Parish the next Morning.

to Mr Sillo at the Water House in Hyde
Park
on his Oath Saith That he was at the Bason
in said Park
on Monday Evening last about half an hour after eight o'Clock
and saw no Person in or near the Water Says that he went
there again about a Quarter after nine o'Clock, and saw a Hat
swimming on the Water, and a Man Floating on the Water in
the Bason
, Says that he acquainted his Master therewith who
went there with Dept. and with the Assistance of two Men going
by, pulled the Deced to the Shore with a long pole, Says that the
Deced was Drowned, and had both his Wrists tied together with
a small Cord Says that he went to Mr. Lewis the Beadle
who can
with Dept. to the Deced. And this Dept says that he was and
from the Water House, from half an hour after Eight o'Clock,
until the time that he found the Deced in the Bason, and must
have heard any Noise made at the Bason which is very near
to the Water House.
