Informations taken this Eleventh day of
October 1766 at the Parish of St. Margaret within
the City and Liberty of Westmr. in the County of
Middlesex on an Inquisition touching the
Death of a New born Male Child lying dead in
the said Parish City Liberty and County.

Archdall Harris< no role > of Queen Street in the Parish of
St. Margaret Westmr . Surgeon , on his Oath saith That
he this Day Examined a New born Male Child, Says that he
found no Mark of violence upon the said Child, and That
he believes the said Male Child was dead Born,

Thomas Lane< no role > of the Great Sanctuary Westmr . Periving
Maker on his Oath saith, that about half an hour after
seven o'Clock this Morning Dept. being in his own Room
saw through his window a small Wooden Box lying upon
a Tomb Stone in the Churchyard of the Parish of St. Margaret
Westmr . and several Boys around the Tombstone, Says that
he wait there immediately and found a part of the
Box did broke, through which Dept. looked into the Box
and found therein a New born Male Child (being the
same now Shown to Mr. Harris the Surgeon ), which was
Dead, but Dept. observed no Marks of violence upon the
said Child, Says that the said Child was soon after carried
to the Watchhouse of said Parish and left there Dept. having
the Key in his Pocket, And this Dept. says that thereas
informed by some People in the Churchyard that the said
Child was first found on the Ground between the said Tombstone
& the Iron Rails inclosing the Church Yard.
