Informations taken this Twenty first day of May
1766 at the Parish of St. James within the Liberty of
Westminster in the County of Middlesex on an Inquisition
touching the Death of Robert Boxold< no role > lying Dead in
the said Parish Liberty and County.

Thomas Richardson< no role > at the Kings Head in St. James's Street in the
Parish of St. James Victualler on his Oath saith, that the Deced
Robert Boxold< no role > has been a Lodger with Deft. in his fore Gauret
for about one Year and half last part, Says that the Deced come
down Stairs Yesterday Morning about Nine o Clock into Depts. Kitchin and called
for half a Quarter of Genove, which Dated put into a half
Pint Pewter Pot, and put some Water and a lump of Sugar
to it and carried it up Stairs immediately, Says that about
Eight o'Clock yesterday Evening Depts. Wife and Maid Servant
informed Dept. that they had been up Stairs and found the
Deced's room Door locked, and the Key in the Lock on the
inside of the Poor, upon which Dept. fearing some Accident had
happened to Deced calledupin Mr. John Robinson< no role > who
went up with Dept. and Henry Cox< no role > , to Deced's Room Door,
which he found locked, Says that he forced open the Door
with an Iron Poker, and then saw the Key in the Lock
on the inside, Says that he then saw the Deced Hanging
by a piece of Small Cor fixed round his Nock, and to an
Iron Hook drove into the Ceiling of the Room, Says that
he believes the Deced was Dead, that one of Deced's Ku [..] s
appeared toberest upon a Chair, and the other food touched
the Floor as Dept. believes. but Dept. did not to wit the Deced,
and Deponent believes that the Deced hanged himself
Says that the Deced has been Melancholy and low spircted for a [..] on pine hart
sometimes uneasy, and frequently expressed his fear
that the should live to want [..]
