in the County of Midsex }


Informations taken this Twelfthday of May 1766
at the Parish of St. Anne within the Liberty of Westmr. in the
County of Middlesex on an Inquisition touching the Death
of Andrew Louch lying Dead in the said Parish Liberty
and County.

Thomas Tims< no role > a Beadle of the Parish of St. Anne within the Liberty
of Westmr. on his Oath saith That a little after Nine o'Clock on Saturday
Night last, this Dept. was going towards the Watchhouse, and in Wo [..]
Street he met a Woman who told Dept. that she was sent by Dr. Cro [..]
who desired that one of the Beadles would fetch away a Man that
lay on the Ground before his Door in Richmond Building in said
Parish, Says that he went there immediately, and found the Deced lying
on his back on the Ground, Says that the Deced was Speechless and Dop [..]
thought him to be in Liquor, Says that he lifted Deced up, and Deced was [..]
carried by four of the Watchman to the Watchhouse Says that his Eyes [..]
and face were be [..] udand a small wound under his Cline,Says that he
was put into a Chair before the Fire in the Watchhouse, but was not able
to speak, Says that Mr. Groote the Apothecary was fetched, who advised
send the Deced to a Nurse, and in about half an house Deced was car [..]
upon a Chairman's Horse to the Poor House belonging to said Parish in Rose Street
where Deced was put upon a Bed, Deced still remaining Speechless,

William Groote< no role > of Nassau Street Apothecary on his Oath saith
That on Saturday Night last about Ten o'Clock he was fetched to the [..]
Parish Watch house , Says that the went there and found the Deced in [..]
a Chair, unable to speak, Says that he had very little Pulse, very Co [..]
and a difficulty in Breathing, Says that he did what he thought necessary
but finding the Deced still cold, he ordered him to be carried to the
Poor house, Says that he visited the Deced there next Morning, and found
him very low, Speechless, scarce any Pulse to be felt, Says that he
saw the Deced again who continued very bad, that hebled the Deced in
the Arm, but that the Deced died about one o'Clock the same day, and
Dept. believes that he died a natural Death,
