they immediately pulled the Deced to the Shore at<lb></lb>
Westmr. Bridge in the Parish of St. Margaret Westmr.<lb></lb>
Says that the Deced had no Cap on, and but one Shoe on<lb></lb>
Says that the Deced was then Dead and that he observed<lb></lb>
no Marks of Violence on the Deced.</p>

Thursday Evening, This Dept, says that the Deced used<lb></lb>
to complain to him of the want of Business, and that<lb></lb>
she in a particular Manner lamcuted it on Thursday<lb></lb>
Night, and said that she had many Bills that would<lb></lb>
be due very soon, that she was not able to pay them</p>
<p n="1473">And on that Account did not know what to do<lb></lb>
Says that she asked Dept. Advice, and that he adviced<lb></lb>
her to make some Shift this Summer, if she could, and<lb></lb>
that he hoped Business would answer better in the<lb></lb>
Winter, Says that the Deced had a Cold and had<lb></lb>
been in a Fever<gap reason="illegible"></gap>
for somedays, Says that the<lb></lb>
Deced was greatly concerned on Accont. of her Debts<lb></lb>
and was apprehensive of being Arrested for them<lb></lb>
and this Dept. says that the Deced owed him money</p>

of Clerk, on his Oath saith, that he has known the Deced<lb></lb>
about twelve months, Says that about Ten o'Clock,<lb></lb>
on Thursday Night he called on the Deced in Parliamt.<lb></lb>
Street Says that he found her in a Fever as she had<lb></lb>
been for a week before, Says that the Deced was<lb></lb>
low Spirited and Melanchely, and that Miss Poland<lb></lb>
who lived with Deced told Dept. that the Deced's Affair.<lb></lb>
were bad, and that the Deced fretted much on that<lb></lb>
Account and believed that it was the Chief cause of<lb></lb>
her Complaint upon which Dept. had a great deal of<lb></lb>
Conversation with Deced on that Subject and advised<lb></lb>
her to State her Account, Says that Deced complaind<lb></lb>
of being much in Debt, about on hundred and<lb></lb>
twenty or thirty pounds, and that she could not tell here to pay<lb></lb>
them, and threatened to abscond and leave the whole in<lb></lb>
the Shop for the Creditors, Says that he advised her not<lb></lb>
to do so but to draw out a State of her Debts and<lb></lb>
write to her Creditors, which she at last promised to<lb></lb>
to the next morning, Says that the Deced said it<lb></lb>
must be done before Monday, that there was be Bills then<lb></lb>
due, and that she wod. not be able to see her Creditors<lb></lb>
Says that Miss Bland went to Bed before Eleven o'Clock<lb></lb>
and that Depont. went away about a Quarter after<lb></lb>
