Andrew Byres< no role > Apprentice to Mrs. Wills Periwig Maker
in Fleets Street on his Oath saith that on Monday last in
the Afternoon he came with Deced and Mr. Brown to Wash
themselves, Says that Dept. And the Deced went into the River
below Chelsea Bridge and near the Floodgates Says that they
walked along the River the Water being up to their Wasts
or there about, Says that the Deced was about two or
three Yards to the Right hand of this Deponent and rather
behind him, when the Deced disappeared says that the Deced
soon came up, and Dept, catched hold of him and endeguared
to draw him out, but could not, Says that Deced sunk and
came up again and that this Dept. did all in his power to
save Deced, but could not, and says that Deced was Drowned
in said River
