Henry Butcher< no role > Servant to Mr. Lowe Gunsmith in
Charles Street in the parish of St. Margaret Westmr. on
his Oath saith, That he appointed yesterday about
Noon to go withnextthe Deced toatthe Thames to Swin, in the
Afternoon, Says that he went about half on hour after
two o'Clock in the Afternoon and found the Deced and
William Hancock< no role > in the Thomas a little above Parliament
stairs, Says that he went into the River and Swam
about with the Deced some time, and then came out,
and staid on Shore about half an hour, and that Deced
desired them not to Dress themselves. Says that he
this Dept. and the Deced Swam down the River towards
Westminster Bridge and that Deced was about one hundred
and fifty yards before the Depont. when Dept. observed
that the Deced was Sinking, upon which Dept cried
out for help, Says that he saw the Deced come up two
as three times but that no Assistance come until
he was Drowned, Dept Says that he Dressed himself and
went to acquaint the Deced's Brother, who with the
Dept. got a Fishermen to Draw his net; and the
Deced was drawn in the Fishermen's net to the Shore
in the Parish of St. Margaret Westmr. and the Dept says that thewas
Deced was then Dead.
