found a Female Child there wrapt up in a pice of Linnen
Cloth, and some Black Silk over it, Says that there was some
Blood upon the Deced, but that Depont. rubbed it off and
then observed no Marks of Violence on the Deced, Says that
the Linnen Cloth was Bloody and a great deal of congealed
Blood in the Cloth, Says that the Child was come to Maturity
and Dept. is of opinionthinksthat the Deced was born alive, Says that
the Navel String was not tied, and that no care was taken
for the Preservation of the Life of the Deced.

William Paul< no role > of Bear Street in the Parish of St. Ann Baker on
his Oath saith, that last Night between ten and Eleven o clock
Dept. was going out of his House and in Crambone Alley
adjoyning to Depts. House he saw Mr. Bullock the Watchman and
another Man standoverhavea Bundle, which they unpinned in the
presence of Dept. after which Deponent saw a Child therein but Dept.
did not examine the Child, and Deponent went away
soon after, & left the Deced there
