of said Richard Cradock< no role > desired Deponent tosaidhave the
Trunk abovementioned opened, upon which said
Mrs. Crodock or Depts. Servant, (who was present with one
Mrs. Burleigh) untied the Cord with which the Trunk was tied the same being unlocked,
Says that Mrs. Cradock after the Trunk was opened said
there was the Lid of a Coffin, and Depts. Servant David
Nichols
< no role > said there was a whole Coffin, upon which the
Coffin was taken out, fastened with four Screws, Says
that the Coffin was unscrewed, and Dept. thereupon saw
a Dead Child in a Shroced, Upon which Dept. went to
Acquaint Mr. Monk the Churchwarden of the Parish therewith
Says that said John Williams< no role > frequently called upon Dept after the Trunk was kept in her Apartment
but Deponent cannot tell where said Williams now lives.

Archdall Harris< no role > of Queen Street Westmr . Surgeon on his
Oath saith, that he this day Examined a Child. which to the
best of his knowledge is a Female, (the Child having been a
Considerable time Dead) Says that he found no Marks of
Violence upon the Child, Says that he believes the Child was
born alive, that the Navel String was tied, and the usual
Means used for the Priservation of her life, Says that he
believes the Deced died, soon after her Birth, in a natural
way.

Mary Cradock< no role > of Long Ditch Westmr . Widow on her Oath
saith, that about four years since a Leather Trunk was
brought out of Mrs. Bland's Apartment (on the first Florr in Dept House
by a Person, whose Name Dept. does not know, into Deponts.
Garret, Richard Cradock< no role > the Depts. Husband being present,
Says that the Trunk was tied with a Small Cord, Says that
the Trunk remained there ever since, and verily believes
that the Trunk was not opened until yesterday, when it
was opened by Dept. and David Nichols< no role > in the presence
of Frances Nutting & Mrs. Burleign at the proposal of Mrs. Nutting Says that she found a Coffin in the

Trunk, and that on opening the Coffin Dept. saw a Dead
Child therein, being in a Shrond and the Coffin lines, Says
that she went to the Workhouse to acquaint the Parish Officers
therewith. Says that her late Husband Richard Cradock< no role > last
week, (two days before his Death), desired Deponent to open
the Trunk, and said that there were Papers and Things
of Value in it to the amount of three hundred pounds as Mr. Williams informed him, upon
which Deponent refused to Open the Trunk, last any
of the Papers should be last.

Ann Mennis< no role > a Lodger at Mr. Brooks in the Great Almory
Westmr. on her Oath saith, That for Seven Years last past,
(until the last Month) Dept. lodged at Mr. Craddocks in
Long Ditch (where Mrs. Nutting and her Mother also lodged,
Says that she frequently was in Mrs. Nuttings Mother's Apartment
and in a Closet there saw a Trunk to some times before Mrs. Brand's
Death, and says that she saw the Trunk there after Mrs.
Brand's Death, but Dept. did not open it or never heard whom the Trunk
belonged to, Says that she saw the same Trunk in the
Garret in the same Home yesterday, where she went
upon being informed by David Nichols< no role > that they had
found a Coffin in the Trunk, Says that the Coffin was
opened in her presence, and then she saw a Dead Child
therein
