Informations of Witnesses taken this Twentieth
day of September 1764 at the Parish of St. Martin
in the Fields within the Liberty of Westmr . in the County
of Middlesex , on an Inquisition taken on View of the
Body of Charles Lukey< no role > lying Dead in the said
Parish Liberty and County

John Davis< no role > Apprentice to David Davis< no role > of Hungerford in
the Parish of St. Martin in the Field , Waterman, on his Oath
saith, That yesterday between twelve and one o' Clock at Noon
Deponent was rowing his Boat into Hungerford Stairs , Says
that he saw a Waterman (whole name Deponent does not know)
with his Hook rais up the Deced who lay upon the
Cause way, at the bottom of it, at Hungerford Stairs , Says
that the Deced was then Dead and that the Man unknown
was leaving the Deced upon the shore being [..] water Says that he this
Deponent Landed his Fare at Hungerford Stairs and after he had
secured his Boat went to the Deced, and Covered the Deced
with a piece of Tar Paulin, Says thgt he observed no Marks
of Violence upon the Deced,
