Informations of Witnesses taken this Sixth day of
September 1764 at the Parish of St. Margaret within
the City and Liberty of Westmr. in the County of Middlesex
on an Inquisition taken on New of the Body of
Ann Eaton< no role > lying Dead in the said Parish City Liberty
and County.

Benjamin Combes< no role > of Swallow Street in the Parish of
St. James Carman on his Oath saith, That about Eleven
Weeks since Deponent was employed by Mr. Charles
Stubbs
< no role > Timber Merchant to draw some Timber to his Yard in Warwick
Street from Mrs. Lambeth's Wharf in Scotland Yard, Says
that while he was at the wharf and getting a piece of
Fir Timber out of the Dock upon the Wharf with the Crane
the Iron Dogs being fixed about the Middle of the piece of Timber
Says that the Deced and another Woman were gathering
up Coals in the Dock, and standing near the Timber, Dept. says that
he called to the Deced and the other Woman several pines to go out
of the way, says that the other Woman did go, and that
the Deced might have gone when Depot. first called to
her, Says that One End of the said piece of Timber came
round, as it was drawn up, and struck the Deced upon
the back part of her right Leg, and broke the Deced's Leg
the Dept. heard the bone snap, Dept. says that he & Sor [..]
carried the Deced and laid her down upon the Wharf
Says that he afterwards sent for two Chairmen who
carried the Deced to the Westmr. Hospital, and Dept's
Servant went with the Chairmen. Says that the piece [..]
of Timber was the Property of Mr. Stubbs, and of the Value
of Seven Shillings and six pence.

William Lord< no role > Surgeon to the Westmr. Hospital on his
Oath saith, that on the Twenty sixth day of June last past,
the Deced was brought as a Casualty to said Hospital, Says
that he saw Deced the next day and found a Compound
Fracture on her right Leg, Says that the Deceaseds Leg
