Information taken this 29th. day of August 1764
at the Parish of St. Martin in the Fields within the
Liberty of Westmr . in the County of Middlesex on an
Inquisition taken on View of the Body of Alexander
Lawrence
< no role > lying Dead in the said Parish Liberty
and County.

Richard Sennet< no role > Labour Lodging with Henry Wright< no role >
in Bonbury Street in the Parish of St. Giles in the Fields ,
on his Oath saith that on Monday last between Six and
Seven o' Clock in the Afternoon Deponent was Walking with
Said Henry Wright< no role > and another Person towards Chelsea Bridge in the parish of St. George Hanover Square
Says that said Wright being before Deponent and upon the
Bridge , cryed out to Deponent, Dick, here is a Boy Drowning
upon which Deponent run over the Bridge and Stripped
himself and went into the River and got hold of the
Deced under the Armpit, the Deced having Sunk down
three times before, Says that he got the Deced about six
yards towards the shore, but upon the Deced taking hold of the
Dept. Am Deponent was obliged to disengage himself
from the Deced, to save his own Life, Says that the Deced
thereupon Sunk, and Deponent swam out, Says that
he soon after went into the River again and after diving
several times, got hold of Deced's Leg and pulled him up,
and with the Assistance of another Man (unknown to
Deponent) pulled the Deced to the Shore, Says that soon
after a Person bled the Deced in the Arm and afterwards
in the Neck, Says that the Deced bled freely in the Neck, Says
that the Person who let the Deced Blood said that he did not
think the could recover, and Deced did not appear to Dept.
to have any Signs of Life;
