Informations taken this Twenty fifth
day of August 1764 at the Parish of St. John
the Evangelist within the City and Liberty of Westmr.
in the County of Middlesex on an Inquisition
taken on view of the Body of Robert Cottingham< no role >
lying Dead in the said Parish City Liberty
and County.

John Milledge< no role > a Lodger with Mr. Francis Holloway< no role > in
Hyde Street Bloomsbury , Carpenter , on his Oath saith
that yesterday between five and six O' Clock in the
Afternoon Deponent was at work in a House belonging
to Lady Carpenter in Great George Street in the Parish
of St. Margaret westminster , saith that Robert Cottingham< no role >
the Deced a Brick layer worked there at the same time, and that the
Deced Stood upon a Ladder reared up against the
Quine of Window in a back Room two Stories high
Deponent being then at work in the same B [..]
with his back towards the Deced, says that on hearing
a Noise Depenent turned round and saw the Deced's
back on the outside of the Window as Deced was
falling down, Says that he looked out at the Window
(which was not Sashed) and saw the Deced lye in
The back yard upon a Stone pavement, upon his
leftside motionless, Says that he immediately run
down Stairs and acquainted several Persons with
what had happened, who went to the Deced Says the
he saw the Deceds Shall was brode and his Brame
lying in the yard, Deponent says that there was
no other Person but himself with Deced in the Room
when he fell out of the Window, and believes that
it was occasioned by the Deced treading on that side
of the Ladder next the Window.
