Informations of Witnesses taken the Fourth
day of July 1764 at the Parish of St. George Hanover
Square within the Liberty of Westmr. in the County
of Middlesex on an Inquisition taken on View
of the Body of Nicholas Moone< no role > lying Dead in
the said Parish Liberty and County.

John Polglass< no role > Taylor living at Mr. William Moone< no role > in
Hyde Park in the Parish of St. George Hanover Square , on his
Oath saith, That he used to Work with Nicholas Moone< no role >
the Deced (who was a Sailor ) that he left said Nicholas Moone< no role > on Monday last
about five O'Clock in the Afternoon at Mr. William Moone< no role >
his Brother's House, while Deponent went for some Trimming
the Deced being at work upon a Black Stocking Breeches, Says
that on his return in about an hour and an half he
found the Deced very Melancholy, Says that the Deced had
Served the Black [..] Breeches with Green Thread, and some
part of the Breeches made with the wrong side outwards.
Says that they worked together until about nine O Clock that [..]
when Deced asked Deponent to take a Walk, Says they
did walk together until they come to Grosvenor Gate Hyde Park
where they met John Hill< no role > one of the Keepers, says they
three went together to the Kings Head the Corner of Upper
Grosvenor Street, where they, and two other Persons
drank two Potts of Beer, Says they come out again
and Deced and Dept. went back again to Mr. William
Moone
< no role > 's House, leaving said John Hill< no role > at the Gate where
they found him, Says that it was about half an hour
after ten o'Clock on Monday Night when Deced & Deponent
got to Mr. Moone's House, Says that the Deced stayed about
five Minutes in Mr. Moone's Kitchin, and then Deced
said he was going out, and accordingly went out, says
that the Deced not returning for some time, Deponent
Mr. William Moone< no role > 's Maid and Clerk [..] went out to look for
the Deced, Says that after looking sometime Deponent
Mr. William Moone< no role > and other Persons found the Deced's
Coat and Wig by the side of the Serpentine River in Hyde
Park , by which they were afraid that the Deced was Drowned
Says that Thomas Serle< no role > one of the Keeper's of the [..]
Green Park was fetched there, who with John Hill< no role > in a Boat discovered
