Informations taken this twenty ninth Day of May
1762 on an Inquisition taken at the parish of Saint
James within the Liberty of Westminster in the County
of Middx [..] on View of the Body of
Mary< no role > the Wife of William Evans< no role > there lying dead.

Mary Webb< no role > living with William Evans< no role > in King Street
Corn Chandler on her Oath Saith that said Evans is
uncle to Dept. that the deced her Aunt was very ill
from Christmas last and Dept. attended on her from
that time in her Illness says that about there Yesterday
in the afternoon her Aunt was in the Kitchen and
complained of a Violent pain in her Head and said she
believed it would turn her Brain says she went up
Stairs directly says about five that afternoon Dept.
drank Tea with her Aunt in her Bed Chamber when
she appeared to be sulky, says that after Tea she went
down Stairs leaving her uncle and deced together, and
be continued with her till near nine that Evening
when he was called down upon Some Business, when
be came down Stairs be called Deponent out of the
Kitchen to go up to his Wife, and Dept. accordingly
went up directly, says She found the deced setting by
her uncles Bed side [..] two pair of Stairs backward
which surprised Dept. as on account of [..] her Aunts
Illness she lay in a seperate Bed on the same Floor
forwards. says she bid Dept. make last and make deceds
Bed she being very bad,andsays she observed the
Windows of the Back Room open, which deced
informed her, she had opened for Air. says she went
into the fore Room and pulled of her Cloaths all but
Stockings, says while she was undressing Somebody
knocked at the Door and Depts. went down to open
the Door says when she had got down within two or
three Stairs she heard some thing fall in the yard, as if it was the
Corver of the House, and at the same time heard the breaking
of a Window, says she immediately ran to the Yard Door
and opened it, and heard a Groan, and saw her Aunt
lying on the pavement [..] ahed, except her Cap and Stocking
